September 2026
Hello dear friends,Since I last wrote work has continued on the decking and access ramps around our new home, and our collection of plants in pots is flourishing despite the drought - and helped by some rain over the past few days. We have experienced an almost total eclipse of the sun, and that same week I had to call 999 for an ambulance twice for my husband., made even more 'interesting' by the car breaking down (on eclipse night) on the way to pick him up from the hospital. Thankfully things seem to be settling down now.

The dappled sunlight through the trees created a beautiful effect, and we took a quick glimpse through our eclipse glasses.
Reflections: Blossoming
Even though September heralds Autumn here in Cornwall, there are still many blossoms in my garden, despite the ravages of the fire, plus the drought that has affected so much of the UK and Europe. Over the last few days we've had quite a bit of rain and even the plants in pots are looking much happier.

The bright pink geranium on the far right in the picture is one we have had for years. I have to be quite ruthless in cutting it back every year as it can get very straggly, but so far that has worked and I have been rewarded by a gorgeous show of colourful blossoms.
This leads me to reflect on where else in my life some literal or metaphorical pruning might be beneficial. We have already lost so much in the fire, and I am very grateful that my wooden office/studio survived. I have begun sorting out the clutter in there and transferring a few decorative treasures into our new home. At some point I will need to get rid of a whole lot of things I no longer need.
Alongside the pots a number of Datura plants have sprung up, we haven't had those growing here for years but the seeds must have been lying dormant until the fire or the disturbance of the soil prompted them to germinate to produce seedlings and now flowers.

I wonder what new revelations and insights will emerge for me over the months ahead?

What does Blossoming bring for you tight now? What is your first response? To the word? The colour? What else is there? And, what else?
You may like tor reflect in your journal, or simply to bear the word in mind as you go through your day.
New Compass Rose Programme: 'Through Unravelling to Re-Weaving'

A new eight week programme taking you through the Compass Rose flow from Peace in the centre, via North – Purpose, East – Passion and then exploring what is Unravelling for you. Is this through circumstances or choice? Maybe a combination?
Then onwards to South – Power, and to choosing which unravelled threads to keep for your new tapestry, and the pattern you wish to weave. West is where we review the progress we have made before Return to Peace in the Centre Pont, the place we have never left, always been connected with throughout our explorations.
Will you join a small group of people who will meet once a week on Zoom and share a private Facebook group where I will post weekly and daily prompts?
To help you decide I am offering two free taster sessions, also on Zoom, ahead of the start in mid-September. The dates are Tuesdays 8th and 15th September at 11.00 am UK time. These events are available to book on Facebook,(click on the links above to take you straight there) or simply contact me for the Zoom link or if you have any questions. There is absolutely no pressure to sign up, simply an invitation to spend a gentle hour together in a small group and experience a little of the magic we create together in the in-depth programmes.
The private Facebook group will open over the weekend of 26th and 27th September with the weekly and daily prompts beginning on Sunday 27th.The fee is £208 for the full eight week programme, including the weekly Zoom calls, with a private recording of each one in case you miss any, or wish to listen again as the magic of each circle unfolds.
There is an option of paying in instilments and of discounted rates for anyone who is strongly drawn to join us but whose financial circumstances may mean this is a challenge. As always there is a special rate for those who have taken in previous Compass Rose programmes with me.
Please follow your intuition, your inner wisdom, to first decide if this does feel right for you, now.
(PS I know the photo shows a plait rather than a weave - but I had fun playing with these fragments of rug wool inherited from my mother.)
More details will be available on the website soon.
The next gathering is at 11.00 am UK time on Saturday 5th September, join me for a peaceful hour together and a magic carpet ride guided visualisation. Here is the Facebook event and just contact me for the Zoom link if you prefer. It would be useful to know if you do intend to come along, although you are always welcome at the last moment.
Thank you for your support,
Mary
