Three Card Listenings for 2026

A New Year special offer for you, a Three Card Listening created individually for you. People who are unable to attend the live circles on Zoom may find this particularly useful, especially at this time of crossing the threshold into a new year.

Full details on my website here. If this is new to you - I draw three cards for you from the combined Dare to Blossom Rediscovery decks and then tune in to listen to the whispers of your inner wisdom.

I have limited time (and energy) capacity so if this appeals to you, book your Listening soon if you would like it to arrive (by Messenger or email) before 14th January.

The price is £14, and you will receive an illustrated pdf of your cards.

Reflections 1: Looking back

Looking back, 2025 has been a year of immense change for me and those I love, and for many people I know, not to mention all that is happening out in the world, which I will not comment on here.

It is natural perhaps to focus on those events that feel negative - illness, injury, loss - but I will not do that here. Some of you already know some of the details, others do not. In any case, with the benefit of that wonderful quality of hindsight I may well find that some of those bring hidden gifts along with the pain.

I drew this card, Resilience, for this newsletter, and I notice how striking the quality of resilience has been this year, whether my own or that of other people - and of aspects of nature too. This card is from the Dare to Blossom Rediscovery Cards No 2 Deck (click on the photo to find out more). I was  amused by the irony of the two words of the year I chose at this time a year ago, Ease and Rest. My first response is to laugh, but when I consider for a moment I realise how important those two aspects of life have been. One of the lessons of the year has been just that - remembering to give myself time to rest,to be at ease.

Some of the highlights of 2025 for me have been hosting over seventy Zoom gatherings, with cards being drawn and Magic Carpet Ride visualisation journeys being taken. And sharing a word of the day in my two groups, Dare to Blossom into Joy, and The Wisdom of Wild Cornwall (find them on Facebook if you would like to join us).

I also began writing on Substack, where I shared a piece for each of the fifty cards in the Wisdom of Wild Cornwall Original Deck. I had intended then to compile those into a companion guide book, but the set-back of breaking my wrist at the end of August has restricted my ability to spend time writing on the computer. All in good time. I think I had just begun pieces for the No 2 deck, but since then I have only shared a few posts there - mostly these newsletters. If you enjoy Substack do come and follow me there, thank you.

II have appreciated my walks on the cliffs and beaches near my home here in North Cornwall as always - and even more after being unable to drive for the five weeks my wrist was in a cast. This photo was taken very recently on the cliffs up above Trevone.

Another very special event was the opportunity to spend just a few hours with my niece while she was visiting the UK from New Zealand. The 'store of hugs' we exchanged during our short and very precious time together have sustained me through all the hard events since then. We keep in touch through video calls which is very special too, and I also appreciate all the messages and emails from family and friends that add so much joy and love to my life. I can truly say I have never felt alone when I needed support even though very few of those people live close enough to meet in person. And I am so, so grateful to the kind neighbour who drove me to hospital several times.

Reflecting now, I feel that for me to sustain my resilience, taking rest and being at ease are two of the important things I can do for myself - despite my inherent inclination to feel I should always be busy doing something.

Reflections 2: Beauty and Love

Regular readers may know that over the last two years I have chosen a word or words for the year ahead, and then drawn a spread of twelve cards, laid out in a circle, a wheel. Then I have turned one card each month as we have gone through the year and shared some reflections here with you.

This year I have chosen two words, Beauty and Love, which both have special meaning for me. I have decided to choose something different for these reflections during 2026. Just now I am playing with a few ideas, perhaps a quarterly card using the Compass Rose, at the Equinox and Solstice points, or something else altogether.

Beauty refers to the wonders of nature all around me. Even when I can't get out I can watch the birds on the feeders outside my window, and a walk around my garden always reveals hidden beauty, even if also highlighting lots of work to do as well. These camellias are just beginning to blossom now, with the two bushes covered in buds. One is pure white, and the other this gorgeous cream. We also have a small bush with pink blossoms that is yet to produce any flowers, maybe next year.

As for Love, my husband and I met in 1976 - fifty (fifty!)  years ago. I think we first set eyes on each other in March, it had been a very warm and sunny spell (a precursor of the hot summer to come), and my friend and I had rather overdone the sunbathing (people were not so aware of 'sun safety' in those days). I seem to remember a comment being made that we looked like a pair of lobsters (not very romantic....).

In May 1976 I began working for Rick Stein (of the Seafood Restaurant) at the short-lived Great Western Hamburger Restaurant, which was popular with many locals as a place to socialise - the atmosphere was informal, often with live music, and the prices good. Dave was a lifeguard on one of the local beaches and as I only worked in the evenings I spent a lot of time there. The photo below was taken one evening after work.

We soon became a couple and when I left that autumn for a planned working holiday to Australia and New Zealand we soon realised that we were meant to be together. On my return we married in April 1977.

Despite all the ups and downs, health-wise for each of us, and in life in general - jobs, redundancies, the challenges of commercial fishing (and of being a fisherman's wife), and each being self-employed - here we are, still together, still arguing over silly things, still laughing together. With us each having health issues, it can very often take both of of us to accomplish the simplest of tasks and we are being made to slow down and take things slowly.

No one can predict the future (thank goodness, otherwise I am not sure how I could have faced 2025), so I am going to remember Ease and Rest from 2025 and add in Beauty and Love as I enter into 2026.

"Becoming You" - Taster circles and a new programme for 2026

The first run of the new format that arrived with me as an inspiration from wherever those things appear in my mind - became the True Essence eight week programme which was a truly wonderful and extraordinary experience.

Here is a testimonial from one of the participants, Susan Latchford:

"I’ve participated in a number of Mary’s Compass Rose programmes over the last few years and have always found them a unique way of exploring myself and my current situation in a safe environment, expertly facilitated and gently held. They are always transformative.

The True Essence Programme had an additional two weeks to the usual six: Deepening and Expanding. I appreciated the extra time and opportunity to peel back another layer, to delve beneath a surface as yet unexplored and then see what that felt like coming up again. This space between the in and out breath is truly liminal. I am always astonished at how the soft nature of the process belies its effectiveness in helping you to access your own wisdom, or reveal aspects of yourself that were previously unknown.

I would recommend a Compass Rose programme to anyone who is curious about their own self but particularly to those who are feeling stuck, confused and challenged."

(Susan is a talented fiction writer and I can highly recommend her trilogy, The Bloodsong Series, available from her publishing house, Gabansby Publishing).

The extra spaciousness allowing time to connect more deeply with each other, and with our own inner wisdom felt very special so  now I am planning another eight week programme to open 2026: "Becoming You".

Unbecoming and Becoming will be the titles of the two extra weeks. Unbecoming after the week for East – Passion and Potential, an opportunity to let go, to choose which aspects to keep hold of and which to let slip away. The other extra week will follow Power, the South, where we remember nature’s powers and step into the power that is arising in us – and into Becoming what we now wish to be. A new year feels a perfect time to be letting go of the old, to focus on the most vital things in life just now.

'Becoming You' - simply signifies stepping into the next version of yourself. Unlike traditional New Year's Resolutions, which for me can feel forced and impossible to keep, I invite you to join me in a gentle exploration.

The word ‘unbecoming’ makes me smile. The sense of something being unbecoming in a rather traditional, old-fashioned sense of the word, as in unbecoming behaviour not being right or proper in polite society, not appropriate.

And, for me, that does fit too – sometimes I do not wish to be bound by those definitions of what is appropriate, maybe I want to become something quite different, to behave in ways not expected of the 73 years I have lived in this life. Another way of looking at 'growing old disgracefully' perhaps?

If you have not experienced one of my programmes before, I would like to reassure you that there is no pressure. No assignments, or challenges or deadlines. No expectations of any particular outcome. And perhaps paradoxically, people tell me they experience profound insights and transformations during these programmes.

So – this is where I am with this just now – more clarification will follow as I begin to write the descriptions for each of the eight weeks. The start date will be Monday 2nd February, with a private Facebook group opening the weekend before. There will be taster circles, on Tuesdays  6th January,  13th January, and 20th January, all at 2.30 pm UK time. Contact me by replying to this email for the Zoom links (or find the events on Facebook) and please know that you are welcome to come along to any or all of the tasters.

The fee is £224 for the eight weeks - and I know that the post-Christmas bills are a challenge and budgets are stretched, so there will be  an easy-payment schedule if this would help you, along with the usual discount for anyone who has participated in previous programmes, and some discretionary rate places for those who would love to join us but do not have the funds just now.. Basically - if you know this is right for you, we can find a way to make it work financially for both of us, so do not hesitate to ask for a private chat to discuss.

Please do contact me if you have any thoughts on this programme or have any questions - and do come along to one or more of the taster sessions. There is absolutely no pressure to sign up, simply an invitation to spend a gentle hour together in a small group and experience a little of the magic we create together in the in-depth programmes.

If you are ready to book your place,
contact me now to arrange payment in the way that suits you best. Bank transfer is good within the UK, and PayPal if you are elsewhere in the world.

Thank you for joining me here this month, any thoughts, feedback, or questions are always welcome. I wish you and yours a happy and healthy 2026.

Reflections: Freedom

Bright yellow, so vibrant a colour, bringing light to the dark of midwinter. Freedom is so fervently wished for by many across the world. Such a wonderful word to complete this wheel of the year for 2025.

My first response is 'ooh...' at the brightness of the colour, the only one in this shade across the whole year.

If you would like to join me in reflection, ask yourself the questions here, and write in your journal. Or, if you prefer, read on and come back later.
  • What is your first response?
  • To the word? To the colour?
  • What else is there?
  • And, what else?
  • What is your response to the words together? How do all the colours connect?

What else is there?
My life has so much freedom compared with others around the world. Do I appreciate it?

And, what else?
I am not sure just now what else may arise with this word, and the vibrant yellow. And - that is fine. I do not need to have an answer for every question. And nor do you - 'I don't know.' is an answer by itself.

What is your response to all the words together? How do the colours connect?
This year's spread of cards has been fascinating to me. The way the colours have flowed, right from the beginning with Ease and Rest being the same colour in the centre, sometimes blending with each other, sometimes jumping out, as Daring and Freedom do.

I would love to hear your reflections if you feel like sharing them. Also - would you like me to repeat this next year? Or is it time for something new? Just hit 'Reply' to let me know.

October 2025 - Space

Welcome to the Dare to Blossom Newsletter

Reflections: Space
Monthly Dare to Blossom Zoom circles
Cards and books make great gifts
A short programme to round off 2025 - "Deepening: Expanding"

The last Monday evening circle of this year is. at 7.30 pm UK time today, 29th September, if you see this in time, here is the Zoom link. .

Reflections: Space

Space - and the bright sky blue colour are a celebration of the bright sunny days recently, after seemingly weeks of cloud, mist and drizzle..

My next thought is how restricted my world seems just now. Some of you may know that I broke my wrist when I tripped and fell in the garden, around a month ago now. This has meant depending on others for many of the things I would usually do for myself.

And yet, the way in which this brings life into focus can also help me drop some of the things that seem to take up space and maybe are not really necessary to do?

This newsletter is one thing I really did not want to drop, and I hope you will excuse the shorter content (and any typos I may have missed!) As you see from this photo, I have a very fetching purple cast - they are resin these days rather than plaster - and at least I am able to enjoy the autumn sunshine in my garsen.

What is your response to all the words together? How do the colours connect?
As I look at the spread of cards, I can hardly believe there are just two more cards to turn to complete the full circuit of the year. Now I notice Space connecting with Authenticity, through the centre point of Ease and Rest.

Space and Daring are the only slightly brighter-hued cards so far, in the whole ten months of soft shades.

I would love to hear your reflections if you feel like sharing them by replying to this email.

Monthly Dare to Blossom Zoom circles

Cards and books make great gifts

It is a delight when people order card decks direct from me, for themselves or as gifts for loved ones. They have the benefit of being small and relatively light and so not costing too much in postage/shipping. Please browse the website here, and remember that if you are ordering more than one to contact me so I can offer you combined postage to save you money.

Each deck is £16, as mentioned, I can offer a saving by combining postage in one package, and also a small discount depending on how many you purchase.

As for the books, you may prefer to order from your usual bookseller, and that may well save you a little on the prices I can offer here - but if you would like a signed and dedicated copy I would be delighted to prepare and pack one for you. I have plenty of copies of the most recent title, "Your Compass Rose Speaks", and limited numbers of the other two.

September 2025 - Aspiration

Welcome to the Dare to Blossom Newsletter

A big thank you
Reflections: Aspiration
Coming up soon: Autumn Programme 'True Essence'
A choice of five Dare to Blossom card decks now available
Monthly Dare to Blossom Zoom circles

A big thank you
I would like to open this month's newsletter with a big thank you to everyone who read the 'special bulletin' I sent out recently. As I said there, I had planned to send that to tell you about the taster circles for the True Essence programme, but the dramatic events in my life that happened in a very short space of time made me reflect on true essence in a very direct and personal way.

Thank you to everyone who responded with personal emails, your thoughts and good wishes are very much appreciated. And, if it passed you by - that is fine too, it has been holiday time and we all see emails arriving into our in-boxes that with the best of intentions we never get around to reading.

Reflections: Aspiration

My first response on seeing Aspiration is to take a deep breath in..... and breathe out with a sigh of letting go. The colour as I see the card on my desk is a very deep, dark purple - although it appears blue to me here in this photo.

The dictionary definition of 'Aspiration' (which I included in the Companion Guide to the (Original) Dare to Blossom Rediscovery Cards) is two-fold:

1. the hope or ambition of achieving something.

2. The action of pronouncing a sound with an exhalation of breath.
The origin of the word is simply from the Latin for 'to breathe' - aspirare.

For some reason, today, for this month's word, I was inspired to go back to the information above in my reflections, and it has brought me to more reflections on both those meanings. I do have hopes of achieving 'something' - and I am determined to go ahead with the new True Essence programme itself as people are already signed up and I know there will be many insights there for all of us, including me.

So many other hopes have had to be slowed down - such as writing pieces for the each of the fifty Wisdom of Wild Cornwall No 2 cards on my Substack, and eventually compiling all 100 into a new companion guide covering both the Wisdom of Wild Cornwall decks. And a new and very different memoir - which originally I thought might be part of that guide but I have a feeling now may want to be a separate volume.

And, yes, most of all I am drawn to the meaning of the breath, reminding me that in my very stressed state over a long period of time (probably nearly a month by the time you read this) - it is more important than ever to breathe deeply and give my body the benefit of as much oxygen as possible. One of the symptoms of the heart problem my husband experienced on 3rd of August was that his heart rate dropped so low that his blood oxygen level also dropped to dangerous levels and after the paramedics who arrived so quickly saved his life, he was put on oxygen for a while in hospital.

What is your response to all the words together? How do the colours connect?
I am struck by how Aspiration is almost opposite Presence, and in the photo they appear very similar in colour. And I love the soft gentle colours of my two words of the year in the centre, Ease and Rest.

I would love to hear your reflections if you feel like sharing them by replying to this email.

New Programme 'True Essence'

'True Essence', is about to open, we begin on Sunday 7th September when I will share the first week's prompts in the private Facebook group (or if you prefer you can receive them by email)

I am delighted to say that there are already people signed up and there are still places available if you would like to join us - take a look at the full details on the website here

There is one more taster circle, on Tuesday 2nd September at 2.30 pm UK time, where you can experience the flow of the weekly Zoom gatherings and ask questions. As that is very soon, here is the Zoom link in case you would like to join us.

The fee is £224, with a discount for participants in previous programmes, and I offer some concessionary rate places for those for whom finding the full fee is not possible but who would love to join us. As always, simply contact me and we can devise a plan that will work for you, and for me.

A choice of five Dare to Blossom card decks now available

It is a delight to hear about how the new Wisdom of Wild Cornwall No 2 deck is being received around the world - and also to receive orders for the other decks too - and sometimes for all five together.

Each deck is £16, I can offer a saving by combining postage in one package, and also a small discount depending on how many you purchase.

As always, simply contact me to ask.

August 2025 - Daring

The new Wisdom of Wild Cornwall No 2 deck

Reflections: Daring
Coming up: Autumn Programme 'True Essence'
Monthly Dare to Blossom Zoom circles

The new Wisdom of Wild Cornwall No 2 deck

This new deck, a continuation to the Wisdom of Wild Cornwall Original Deck, came into existence rather suddenly, after simmering away in the background for some time. I think the breakthrough came when I realised why work on the Companion Guide for the first deck had stalled. It was because these cards want to be included too.

So, now I have created them, and they are already starting to go out into the world, I will again write draft pieces on my Substack, which will eventually be compiled into a Companion Guide for all 100 cards.

In the meantime, I have some packs in stock, they are £16 each, plus postage to wherever you are, I may (or may not!) have put an order link on the website by the time you read this, but if you would like some, please simply contact me by replying to this email. I plan to set up a special offer for those who wish to order more than one deck - there are now five in total.

Reflections: Daring

For me, today, my first response is - another new colour, another shade of green. And then, well, the end of July has been full of daring, so I wonder what August will bring?

If you would like to join me in reflection, ask yourself the questions here, and write in your journal. Or, if you prefer, read on and come back later.
  • What is your first response?
  • To the word? To the colour?
  • What else is there?
  • And, what else?
  • What is your response to the words together? How do all the colours connect?

What else is there?
Daring - sometimes I really do not want to be challenged, to be asked to 'dare' to do anything.

What is your response to all the words together? How do the colours connect?
I am struck by how different Daring, and last month's Meditation look alongside all the other cards so far this year. Daring in particular is indeed a challenge. After seven months of gentle reflective words and colours, am I ready now for a challenge? One that is often voiced to me by others, and is hardly surprising given the name, Dare to Blossom - "Well, have you? Have you dared to blossom?".

I also notice that this is where I have chosen to reverse the direction of the card, after the rather strange start to the year when January's card, Harmony' was facing 'backwards'. As I wrote at the time, I chose not to change it, it felt right to leave it just as it was and trust that was how it was meant to be.

As always, these are simply my first responses, today. Another time they would be different and so will yours be. There are no 'rights' or 'wrongs' to this process with the cards, simply what is present here today for me, and for you.

Coming up: Autumn Programme 'True Essence'

The autumn programme, 'True Essence', is now coming together, with some new insights arriving just recently at the same time as the inspiration to crack on with the No 2 deck for the Wisdom of Wild Cornwall.

Some of you here may remember that prior to 2020, I ran longer programmes, stretched out over a full year, both as bi-monthly workshops here in Cornwall, and as online gatherings, taking a slow turn around the Compass Rose. When the pandemic came along and changed so much in all our lives, I decided to move to shorter durations of four or six weeks.

And now, for Autumn 2025, this new 'True Essence' offering has two extra weeks, eight in total. I will be offering tasters on Tuesdays 5th, 12th, and 19th August at 2.30 pm. The programme opens the week beginning 8th September, with the Zoom gatherings on Tuesdays at 2.30 pm. Full details will be on the website very soon, (you can already read an outline there) and then you will be able to  book there. And do come along to one of the events (find them or Facebook or reply to this email to book) to ask any questions you may have, or simply contact me. The number of people in my programmes is always deliberately small, so if you already know this is for you and want to make sure to secure your place, please do get in touch.

I am using this painting of mine as the illustration for 'True Essence', as the number eight is also the infinity symbol. The two extra weeks will be one following the week for Passion, (the East), called Deepening; and the other after the week with Power, (the South), on the theme of Expanding. As always, there will be weekly prompts and the chance to share in a private Facebook group (or simply to receive the prompts via email if you prefer), alongside the weekly Zoom gatherings, which are recorded in case you miss one.

The fee will be £224, with a discount for participants in previous programmes, and some concessionary rate places for those for whom this is not possible but who would love to join us. As always, simply contact me and we can devise a plan that will work for you, and for me.

Monthly Dare to Blossom Zoom circles

These will continue on Mondays at 7.30 pm, and Saturdays at 11.00 am (UK times) once a month at least until October, when I may discontinue the evening one. The next dates are Monday 28th July (if you see this before then and would like to join us, here is the Zoom link), Saturday 9th August, and Monday 25th August. (I may review that last date as it is Bank Holiday here in England).

Thank you for joining me here this month, any thoughts, feedback, or questions are always welcome.

July 2025 - Meditation

Welcome to the Dare to Blossom Newsletter

Hello dear friends - it has been suggested that the next Compass Rose Programme should come right at the top here so you do not need to hunt for it.... rather than me rather apologetically placing promotional information at the end, so here goes.

The first taster session is very soon, Wednesday 2nd July, simply reply to this email for the Zoom link.

Summer Programme: 'Coming Home to Yourself'
Reflections: Meditation
Coming up: Autumn Programme 'True Essence'
Ten Years of Magic Carpet Rides Circle: Monday 30th June

Summer Programme: 'Coming Home to Yourself'

What does ‘Coming home to yourself’ mean for you?

When I first heard those words, many years ago now, I felt tearful. I realised I had no idea where ‘myself’ might be let alone how to find my way home there. Over the years I have connected with many people who have helped me along the way, some of whom would have had no idea what that help meant for me.

This is really the essence of all of the processes I offer to you if you purchase the Dare to Blossom Rediscovery cards or my books, especially the most recent Your Compass Rose Speaks: Rediscover Your Inner Wisdom. We are simply walking home together.

And why would you invest your time and money in joining me in this special group?

- Together, we share laughter, tears, insights.
- Together, we offer support to each other.
- Together, we witness each other in a safe, non-judgmental space.
- Together, there is so much magic created in the gaps between the structure and processes I offer.
- Walking alongside each other, we can step through into 'what next', however that looks for each of us, will you join me?

If you have any questions, or wish to discuss how to make it work for you in this time of stretched finances, please do contact me, and/or come along to one of the taster circles, details below.

The programme will run from the week beginning Monday 14th July  through to Friday 22nd August, with the live Zoom gatherings on Wednesdays at 11.00 am UK time. If you miss any, or would like to listen again, you will have private access to the recording.

There will be taster circles on
Wednesday 2nd and Wednesday 9th July at 11.00 am. You can book via the links (which take you to Facebook), or contact me here.

The fee for the full six weeks is £175, with a discount for those who have attended previous paid programmes. Simply contact me to pay by bank transfer, if you are in the UK, or PayPal if elsewhere in the world.

CR with directions

I have flexibility to offer special rates if you feel this is for you and need to find a way to make the finances work for both of us - please simply contact me to discuss. I would love to have your company as we walk alongside each other for a while.

The six weeks will take us around the Compass Rose, from Week 1 in the centre, in Peace, through North, Purpose; East, Passion; South, Power; West, Progress; and finally Return to Peace in the centre in Week 6. I am preparing details of the detailed programme now and will update the website page soon.

Reflections: Meditation

For me, today, my first response is - ooh, a new colour. Still a gentle shade but different. Bringing in the midsummer green of the mature trees around my home here in Cornwall.

Meditation - I often feel I am not very good at meditating. I find a guided visualisation such as the magic carpet rides I offer gives me access into a meditative state more easily than trying to empty my mind. The deep green of Meditation, and the word itself feels like a marker as we enter into the second half of 2025. a pause for reflection. A choice to make on how to move forward from here.

What is your response to all the words together? How do the colours connect?
Right now, I do not have an answer to my own questions here, and that is fine.

As always, these are simply my first responses, today. another time they would be different and so will yours be. There are no 'rights' or 'wrongs' to this process with the cards, simply what is present here today for me, and for you.

Coming up: Autumn Programme 'True Essence'

For those of you busy during the summer months, or who would simply like to look ahead to 'what next?', the autumn programme will be 'True Essence', following the flow around the Compass Rose as always. Details will be in the August newsletter, and on the website as soon as possible. The planned start date is week beginning 8th September, with the Zoom calls on Wednesdays at 11.00 am UK time. Before then there will be taster circles on Wednesdays 28th August and 3rd September.

Ten Years of Magic Carpet Rides Circle: Monday 30th June

Just squeezing this in before I send this newsletter out to you. All through June I have been hosting celebrations - and I will of course continue to recognise the unexpected and extraordinary power that the apparently playful and light-hearted Magic Carpet Ride visualisation has shown.

The last of these events is on Monday 30th June at 7.30 pm UK time. If you would like to join me at that time, here is the
Zoom link.

Thank you for joining me here this month, any thoughts, feedback, or questions are always welcome.

June 2025 - Synchronicity, and a Celebration

Celebrating ten years of Magic Carpet Rides

Reflections: Synchronicity
Summer Programme: Coming Home to Yourself

Celebrating ten years of Magic Carpet Rides

Recently, during my pause, I have been reviewing the ten year ‘chapters’ of my life and celebrating all that has emerged in the last of those, since 2015. (I wrote about this in detail over on my Substack here)

Before offering a new programme, I have decided that more celebration is required - so often I race ahead and forget how much has gone into the offerings I have created. All I have shared from my heart. All the stumbles, mis-steps and out-right mistakes that it has taken to move forward.

And, move forward I have, even while often feeling as if I was slipping backwards. And yet, in one of those paradoxes that I notice more and more in my life - the apparent ‘slipping backwards’ is often taking me to exactly where I need to be. Taking me home to myself. Allowing me to see a little more clearly each time I emerge from one of those experiences, that there never were any stumbles, mis-steps or mistakes. And that I have never left the home within myself, there is nowhere I need to be, no moving forward actually necessary after all. Yet, the world we live in sometimes needs that illusion of linear time for human brains to function in daily life. When I can hold both sides of this paradox at once - linear time, and the eternal truth of already being here, at home - life flows more easily. (Yes, I know - easily said yet much more of a challenge to achieve in real life,,,,)

My thoughts just now are that I will offer a ‘Coming Home to Yourself’ Compass Rose Programme in July/August. (See more below) As well as offering you a chance to experience that, I know it will help the True Essence offering come into bright focus for me to share in September, a time of fresh starts and renewed energy for me..

And before then, time for some celebrations of ten years of Magic Carpet Ride guided visualisations. I have planned six one hour Zoom calls, at different times and days.

Here are the dates planned - times are for the UK, please check if you are in a different time zone:

Mondays 2nd and 30th June* at 7.30 pm

Saturday 7th June* at 11.00 am

Tuesdays 10th and 24th June at 2.30 pm

Wednesday 18th June at 11.00 am.

(*Saturday 7th and Monday 30th are also the regular monthly gatherings)

I will set these up as events on Facebook, if we are not connected there, simply message me if you would like the Zoom link to attend.

There will be no set fee to join any or all of these gatherings, simply the invitation to make a donation to support my work if your circumstances allow. For guidance, in the past the amounts range from zero to £60. Your presence and participation is a priceless joy for me regardless of any financial contribution.

Each Zoom circle begins and closes with the Compass Rose short meditation poem, (click here to read the words or listen now) then I will share a little of the story of the last ten years, and draw Dare to Blossom cards for each of us before leading us on the visualisation. Each circle is a safe sacred place to be witnessed without judgement and to share as little or as much as you wish.

Much of my 'pause' time has been spent walking on the cliffs and beaches near my home here in Cornwall. Here is a photo from my last walk, before the weather changed. Just after 8.00 am on the beach at Porthcothan at low tide.

Reflections: Synchronicity

For me, today, my first response is to the colour, and the pattern of colours around the wheel of the year. Soft purples and blues, and the warm pink shade of Authenticity and now Synchronicity.

Synchronicity makes me smile. those apparent 'coincidences' that pop up in daily life that bring perhaps unexpected gifts and insights. When I draw this card for myself during the Zoom gatherings my first thought there is often that this, Synchronicity, is what has led to us being together - in that particular group, at that precise time - and also how we met to begin with. Often it is hard to recall how those meetings came about, whether in the virtual community or the physical world.

And, what else?
The 'what else?' for me today is a reminder 'not to take myself so seriously' - and that Synchronicity can only work its magic if I step away from my worry mind and notice what is happening around me without expectations, and without judgement.

What is your response to all the words together? How do the colours connect?
I mentioned the impact of the colours for me earlier. We are now entering the sixth month of 2025, approaching the half-way point of the year, and coming soon to the summer (or winter in the southern hemisphere) solstice. All these words feel harmonious and connected. I am notice that I still feel a little irritated with myself that Harmony could be seen as facing the 'wrong' way - yet having made the decision way back in January not to change that, I know that I can let that slip away and simply enjoy the flow.

As always, these are simply my first responses, today. another time they would be different and so will yours be. There are no 'rights' or 'wrongs' to this process with the cards, simply what is present here today for me, and for you.
